It's only dangerous if your game comes across as dangerous. Or if you're stupid and try to hit on a girl who's with her man. But approaching and flirting has little risk of danger to yourself if done smoothly and carefully.

As far as your friends, they might be nice dudes. But if they are as bluepilled as you say, they may have a deep seated resentment that you're doing what you're doing. Frustrated betas can act like idiots when they see someone they know gaming women. Been through this myself countless times. I knew a guy that would always have his eye on me when we went to clubs/bars. And when I would approach and get a girl intrigued, he would see it and try to "help me out" by joining the conversation and talking highly of me. The first time, I was annoyed but thought he meant well. But once it happened multiple times I realized he was sabotaging the interactions in a snakey way out of spite.

Just toughen up, you don't have to beat anyone in a fight, you just need to look like you can cause harm then most guys won't bother with you.
