North American culture is abnormally hyper sexualized and most people here seem to think it is the absolute best it gets. Its unnatural and abnormal and people in other countries seem to be doing fine without it. Hell, you will find a arranged couples in India to be living a much happier life than these frail relationshits people have here.

[–]GreatWalker 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'd say arranged marriages where both people are raised by their families to fulfill their gender roles will lead to happier marriages in general.

[–]dmystery0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Which is why westernised indian girls find married life so tough

Regarding muscularity I have come to the conclusion that there is such a thing as too muscular for some girls.

Pretty much what you should be aiming for is "the golden ratio" of shoulders to hips. If you have big hips you need to be more muscular to fill out the shoulders, if you have smaller hips you need less upper body work.

Also it seems that 10-14% body fat is what girls are looking for. Thats in shape but not shredded or anything.

I can confidently say that girls would prefer the look of oh say an NFL wide receiver vs. like a competition body builder.

Looks like the rest of the world is normal. It's only the US that's fucked up.

[–]Kepaso2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

America is the land of the extreme. You can see big guys with big muscles, and also blonde girls with fake breasts and all that. At the same time in an another part of the city/country you can be with mormons or born again christians with guns, or radfems SJW ultra liberals. In the same school you have the the Jock vs Nerd. Also: the extreme bling bling in rap culture.

The general population in the rest of the world is more subtle and more unified. So less over-exaggeration.

[–]motivatedcat 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What you are saying is more or less true. I have dated a couple of girls from Argentina and other latin american countries. The difference is I met them in the US in a major city where a small percentage of people are actually american.

For the most part, they are girls that come from wealthy/well-off families where their fathers are present in their life. Absolutely all of their families are business owners.

Latin American in general is a very feudal society. Some countries more so then others. You are either at the top, middle class or dirt poor in conditions that make living in the hood like paradise.

Being Alpha in United States; according to the RedPill, is being ripped, making 120k+ and maintaining frame.

Being Alpha in Latin American; being in a position of power whether directly or indirectly. Being a politician or related to a politician. Owner of Insert Major Company. Basically it's based on Status and money to the extreme. It's more of a birthright and ruling class type of thing. Frame and looks are important still, but other things are given more weight. Being middle class is basically none existent.

Anyone who has lived through coup d'etat, a complete economical collapse or getting kidnapped and held for ransom would understand how important status and power is.

American women don't deal with that; so their focus is a bit difference.

Those girls are very red pill because their likelihood depends on it.

Latin America is Red pill to the extreme.

Women don´t really dig muscles here. As a really muscular guy myself, I can say almost all women that I fuck tell me, honestly, that they would be even more into me if I lose a bit of muscle mass.

And women are really into their husbands who lose all muscle mass.

"AWALT, but only in America"? No, AWALT comes from biology, not culture. Women are genetically programmed to act the way they do, just as men are.

Women don´t really like being artificial here: makeup, big plastic boobs, etc is not that popular

Money is not that important here, as we generally don´t have that much money. We live on way less money, and consume way less than the average american.

Come on. You don't have a consumer culture... because you don't have enough money! When money comes to any country, it becomes more like America. This always happens. This always happens.

"AWALT, but only in America"? No, AWALT comes from biology, not culture.

Most women want men who look muscular and lean.

The most sexy man according to men is way more muscular than the most sexy man according to women. Women do not like "meatheads". May it be because they imagine insecurity in men who lift too much ("He seems to compensate for something."). May it be biologically (lean muscular men are better hunters than extremely muscular men - and the image of a perfect hunter is hard wired deep in a woman's brain).

Yes, according to what they say. You'll find that what they say and what they do are entirely separate things.

[–]BetterRedThanRed6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, according to what they actually find most attractive.

According to what they say, they like the dad bod.

[–]juanqunt1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the truth. For years I couldn't accept that women don't think Arnold looks perfect and laughed at guys who strive for the Brad Pitt in Fight Club look, but now through viewing interactions with women, I now think that the Brad Pitt in Fight Club look is what's hard wired into genetics.

[–]PeluzaHT[S] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

And women are really into their husbands who lose all muscle mass.

No. Don´t go to extremes. They like fit, not muscular. It´s not the same.

Come on. You don't have a consumer culture... because you don't have enough money! When money comes to any country, it becomes more like America. This always happens. This always happens.

This is not true IMHO. My social circle is wealthy (even for american standards) and people here prefer to spend money travelling than to buy a brand new car to showoff. All the other developed countries I´ve been (mainly in Europe and Asia, from Netherlands to Japan) tend to be different too.

[–]TomDemian 7 points7 points7 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

When women tell you what they want, they're full of shit. They don't even know what they want. Listening to women when they tell you what they want is how most men end up beta in the first place.

With regards to Argentinians valuing experiences over possessions, I guarantee you're not giving us the whole story. It's human nature to want possessions. We are a greedy species. Your country is mostly European types, you said. Why do you think that is? Where'd all those light-skinned people come from?

They came from Europe because they wanted more. More land, more wealth. You're descended from conquerors. And you're trying to tell me that it's all been bred out of you? No need for material wealth, now you just travel? And not just you, but your entire social class, your entire country?

Nonsense.

[–]flocosix 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

He told you his culture is different from yours and you told him it's bullshit just because YOU can't imagine it being any other way. That's exactly his point.

When everyone grows up poor they learn to value things other than big cars because they don't have a choice.

[–]TomDemian 1 points1 points1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

When everyone grows up poor they learn to value things other than big cars because they don't have a choice.

This is absurd. I grew up poor and I actually don't place a lot of value on material things... but I can see that the majority of people in my community did. Every poor person I grew up with only wants to buy an expensive car, and they'll do so even when it's a bad decision.

Is that somehow an exclusively American thing? Is human nature different in every country? Maybe Argentinians can't afford cars, but don't they still want the best even if they can't really afford it?

I just know that's the case because it's human nature. We've thrived as a species because we hoard resources, and the person with the most resources has the most status. If you don't understand this and you want to promote some sort of nationalism where everyone in your country is superior in mindset, you're just feeding your own ego.

[–]flocosix 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, it's human nature to want material things, everywhere. Culture will not change that, but it can amplify or reduce that to a degree. In the U.S., I think it's at an amplified level, while in Argentina it might be the opposite (not that I know anything about Argentina).

I grew up in a country full of poor people and I'm still poor. People like material possesions but many give up on that because they could never achieve the level of first world countries, and it is understood that it's circumstances that bind you, or it's just not worth it, so you can let go. In the U.S. the prevalent view is that if you don't have a car and a big house it can only be your fault, which amplifies people's desire to get all these possesions that they might not actually need, just for status. Futher, in the U.S. being hard working and dedicating yourself to your career is admirable, whereas in latin countries, people are more aware of the short span of their life and they seek to invest into memories and experiences rather than work themselves to death for status.

Nature is nature but it's not the entire picture. We are shaped, though only to a limited amount, by the enviroment too.

So if my dad was a fisherman, then fishing would be in my genes and consume my every thought no matter?

Riiiight. Although I submit that you fit that there is ONE personality trait does go with ONE nationility: ignorance and ame-

[–]BetterRedThanRed0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hate comments with two completely unrelated thoughts/statements if I agree with one but disagree with the other. Should I upvote or downvote?

[–]TomDemian 1 points1 points1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I find a lot of people just like to bash Americans, and they'll take any excuse to do so.

[–]chwed20 points1 point2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

Well then you'd be wrong, and overall be contributing to the very legitimate criticism of your cultures ignorance

[–]Elodrian1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Chris Evans seems to be the hearthrob du jour among people I talk to. Is that type of physique "muscular" or "fit"?

[–]BaconEggsAndSleaze 1 points1 points1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

They like fit, not muscular. It´s not the same

Perhaps it's because women are all followers, hence why social proof is so detrimental to a guys game. Since the majority of men are lean/thin, if they are seen with the huge meat head, they feel that their mate is lesser.

[–]BetterRedThanRed0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

they feel that their mate is lesser

Attraction is the only time were feels are actually all what matters. So I am not sure what you are trying to say here.

[–]chwed20 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What? No we definately arent anything like americans, thankfully.

[–]moneyandsexislife2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I've noticed the same thing in Latin America and SE Asia.

[–]DalekJay0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Same for Brazil, with some adjustments Man I'm planning to visit Argentina for a while Patagonia Rules, where you live, buenos?

[–]PeluzaHT[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, Buenos Aires. I´ve seen brazilian girls really like muscles, and men really like huge ass + boobs, and women use lots of makeup. I´m going to Rio de Janeiro for new year, will be insane!

[–]DalekJay0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your assumptions are wrong for every states....besides Rio. rock on brother I'm in São Paulo

[–]eachirica0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nope, nope, nope. You're full of it bro. AWALT even on latin america, I live in Mexico, and if I must say, argentinian people are the most narcissistic of ALL of Latam, some girls are pretty but most are ugly and full of shit. Dont get me wrong, we got it worse here, just dont come here SJW full force on why latam has better women, it doesnt, fucking hypergamy gallore. Also pardon the bad english.

[–]PeluzaHT[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Mexico looks up to be like America. Argentina looks up to be like Europe. That´s the key difference. Argentinian girls are extremely narcissistic, yeah, more than other Latam countries, but still are more genuine than americans when it comes to looking for a male provider / rich guy. Of course, it´s well perceived and ideal, but not a requisite for most women, as most of them prefer to work and make their own money.

[–]BetterRedThanRed0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Two things:

  1. The redpill differs too much between alpha fux and beta bux. While this exists, it is not how women think. They just know: This man gives me tingles.

So an attractive alpha gives her 10 tingles (yeah, 1 tingle is a unit now, deal with it), while a unattractive rich guy gives her only 8 tingles. And a rich alpha guy would give her 18 tingles. A woman married to a rich guy who gives her 8 tingles might cheat on him with an alpha who gives her 10 tingles. For us this means: Beta bux, alpha fux. For her, they are both just men, but the second guy is slightly more attractive.

I think a huge mistake is to think that attraction based on physical attractiveness is more valid than attraction based on financial success. A woman can not tell the difference. When my female friends (25 yo) see a man (45 yo) in a suit with a BMW 7, they say something like "He is extremely attractive, just a bit too old for me. But wow, what a man!". They do not see him as just an average mid aged man with money. They see him as genuinely attractive.

  2. The US have a double standard. Parents always tell their kids that money does not matter. Until the daughter says she wants to marry this poor loser guy.

In many other countries this is handled more honest. If anything, people tell each other that money is not everything that matters. But really, in Asia and Europe a woman is not labeled as a gold digger if she brags about how rich her boyfriend is. It is pretty much the same as a woman bragging how tall her boyfriend is.

[–]Derbi50 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Different regions have different people too, even within a country.

For example in America farm girls are different from urban girls. They are more likely to value hard work than pure money.

[–]DaphneDK0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Danish girls are a lot less into muscles than what I read on here that US girls are supposed to be. Bodybuilding big in general is considered to be very unattractive. Money doesn’t matter a great deal either. Of course to some it does, but in general the average Danish girl are not going to be too hung up about it, and flaunting wealth is considered extremely bad taste. Education matters much more. Stay at home moms are also extremely rare - like in as rare as enough to generate a newspaper article when some such is found.

In Scandinavia most men are fairly tall. In Spain where I’m now there seem to be a lot more variety. Something like perhaps 1 in 5 are rather short (170-180cm), and a good deal very small (in the 160s). But Spanish girls don’t seem to care one way or the other. So if you’re short and the US girls give you all the shit for it, come to Spain.
