I've noticed in my past that whenever people would catch me being a try-hard (ex. training hard af at the gym or studying seriously or having a regimented schedule, trying to start a business, or meditating regularly and taking accountability for my life and goals), it's like they get threatened because it proves to them that their inadequacies come from their own lack of effort, and not other peoples' talents. Even in the 48 laws of power, it's stated how you want hard work to seem effortless.
What's a good go-to method when someone catches you in the state of "trying hard"? Let's say someone caught you meditating for an hour or at the gym for 2-3 hours, how do you respond in a way to make them feel like they "see your weaknesses" so that they don't feel threatened by you? For example, if a FWB is curious about why you always meditate in the morning, would you say "because it helps deal with stress"? Even though in reality, it does so much more and you dove DEEP into it?
