I know this one sounds pretty obvious: you don't.
But here's the context:
Met a girl in Canada (I'm American). We hooked up. I flew back home, texted back and forth for awhile, and ended up friend-zoning her once I got into an LTR.
Told her we could still chat as friends but she couldn't fly in to hook up (wanted to keep her in orbit).
Yesterday she asked if I could be her "confidant" (I said, yes), and I woke up to a long block text about the trouble she's having with her ex who's recently come back in her life. Literally talking about how the sex is and all that shit.
Needless to say, this isn't what I meant by "friendship." I just wanted to string her along and keep my options open in case I ended up in Canada again.
I'm not going to ignore it, and it would seem hypocritical and insecure to shut it down, but I don't want to encourage these kinds of conversations and go from lover to gay-male girlfriend (even if I'm in an LTR).
Anyone with thoughts or experience?
