This actually makes me wonder if bachelors and mgtow live longer than men who are after women. I wonder if there's a correlation.
[–]Alinitysdog7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Wouldn't be surprised. Bachelor's tend to take better care of themselves and are generally healthier than married men.

That’s absolutely true. I have been divorced for 5 years now. After divorcing I started cooking all my meals. My diet, health and care improved a lot compared to when my ex was who decided about my diet. Women are naturally lazy, and hate to cook. They never think how to improve the quality of the meals, and just go for whatever is easy.

My guess is divorced men fare better than never-married men, because divorced men have good appreciation of life and freedom, whereas never-married men (who arent mgtow) probably made many bad choices and stayed single not by choice (incels, I am looking at you).

Well. Hard to say. I stayed married for 15 years. Decided to divorce in the day I finally wake up to the fact I was living in a sexless marriage, only to pay for my ex wife's bills and some other of her nonsense. She was very entitled, shoppaholic, and alkoholic. In my blue pill days, before getting divorced and redpilled, I used to treat my ex like a queen. Since married to her, I had no savings and a debit of 50K on the credit card. After divorced her, since then I have huge balance in my savings account. I made the math and come to the conclusion that even if I got divorce raped by the family court it would still be better than to continue married. I am a computer engineer with postgrad. I went into an agreement with my ex, to pay her monthly 8% of my income for 10 years. Her and I came to this agreement on our own - no lawyers or the court involved. I told her: "better accept what I can afford than be greedy and I would not be able to pay it" - so, she accepted and let me free. I would tell any young guy to never get married. Just do like I have been doing since I divorced: pump and dump. Usually I stay with a girl for one year, sometimes two. Never get married and never cohabitate with the girl. And be careful with STDs or getting someone pregnant, which would eat out your income for at least 18 years. And never date any girl over 25. https://youtu.be/Rne_xYORmiE

Wow, very informative. But, can I ask you what country you are from? Is there a very high chance you will be ordered alimony higher than that? To me 8% sounds okay, but 10 year sounds very excessive. 1-2 years should be enough to get anyone on their feet. But if you went through courts, wouldnt they assign the debt equally as well? I am not truly aware of how fucked up alimony system is (I always thought custody is what they use for divorce rape), but this is eye opening. Thanks for sharing.

Would you suggest vasectomy? There is truly no other way to really take away the risk.

Alimony: if you been with a woman for 10 years or more, she becomes entitled to alimony for life depending on where you live - specially in California. I live in the west coast in US. If I had not reached an agreement with my ex wife and let things be decided on court my situation would be bad, really bad. Probably alimony would be 25% of my income. No, I don't have any kids from my ex wife - thanks God. About the court sharing things 50%, it generally applies to when benefits woman only. Vasectomy is a good decision indeed, I am considering doing it soon. Yet still use condoms against STDs - currently at least 60% of women in USA have some nasty disease (herpes, HIV, etc). Not going to the court battle system saved me about 100k from what I know. My ex wife is not American woman, otherwise the bloodshed would have been bleaker.

Oh man, I did enjoy living in California decade and a half ago, and I used think that it was the beacon of progress. Of course I was young and did not know much about life.
entitled to alimony for life
Nasty. I assume with a pre-nup you can protect yourself against this?
Probably alimony would be 25% of my income
How the fuck can any civilized person think this is okay - for life? Its slavery, pure and simple.
Congrats to you my friend. Just want to make sure that your contract with her is rock solid and she cannot come back 5 years later saying "I was scammed. I needed more."
Keep safe brother, and enjoy life to the max.
[–]SkyiHiker0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A pre-nup can be easily shredded to pieces. The only thing that the family court needs as a pretest is that your divorcing wife decides to say to the court that the guy was an abusive husband. No proof or evidence needed - believe all women #me-too.

Just checked my jurisdiction. These fucking battlers here do at least some things right.
In Australia, however, the law is quite different. There is no such thing as "alimony." In Australia, we use the term "spouse maintenance". Spouse maintenance is not payable for life. Instead, it is considered "rehabilitative". What this means is that it is designed to be a temporary order to get the party receiving maintenance through a temporary period of their life. Usually a spouse maintenance order would not be for a period of greater than 2 years and in that period the payee would be expected to retrain and become self-supporting. The payer of spouse maintenance can be either spouse and is gender-neutral.

What ends up happening is that women pick the higher value man which makes it look like marriage correlates well with things like money, happiness, etc.
But the causation is reversed; the richer man is simply more likely to get married.
The single man has more time, money and opportunities, which probably leads to a longer life.
[–]PorkBomber1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They should. A big reason why men live less than women is stress. And marriage is hell a lot of stress.

The problem with many studies that seek to answer that question is that they place single guys who choose to remain single(MGTOW), involuntary celibates(Incels) and divorced men under one bracket, this is a bad idea since incels and most divorced men are very unhappy with their unmarried status while MGTOWs are content with it, it ends up giving a misleading assumption that married men are happier than unmarried men.
We believe they do this intentionally as they are trying to convince men to "go back to the plantation".
[–]Mnyagatownyans1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh yeah, I'm aware of that study.

This mean lesbians have the shortest life spans?
Oh wait. Isn’t violence exponentially greater in lesbian couples compared to gay men couples and heterosexual couples?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Yep, but no DV narrative really talks about it but in passing.

The saying goes"Happy wife, happy life." when it's actually "No wife, a better life."
Happy wife = no life
Happy life = no wife
[–]peepeeandpoopooman5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Some lesbians do.
btw isn't domestic violence in lesbian marriages the worst of all and higher than M/F or M/M marriages?

"Sociologists believe the lower rates of divorces among gay men may reflect a trend of women committing sooner and having higher expectations for a relationship."
Higher expectations for a relationship? Really? This is truly a surprise.

They expect the initial high of those 'lovey-dovey' feelings to last forever instead of understanding that marriage is supposed to be a mutually benefitial arrangement that both people must choose to continue making happen. Of course, the mutually benefitial part got shot to hell years ago and now kids are leaning to flee from adversity and bitch about it from a distance instead of relishing the thought of overcomming obsticals.

Even if you avoid them, they will find a way - somehow someway to inject themselves into your life. It’s essentially a full time job for some of them. It’s beyond unbelievable at times. You don’t even need to know them, they’ll come.
Whoever think women live more peaceful life, don't know women at all.
