what does it matter? You don't need to frame every situation as alpha or beta. Shit happens, if you're not doing well, get whatever you need to fix yourself in motion

Mental illness is very real and serious. Any RedPiller who tells you you're not allowed to feel weak and down at some points is doing you more harm than good.

From my personal experience, the thing that sets apart Alpha and Beta mindsets with respect to mental illness is how they react. A depressed beta will regress into a victim complex, and start blaming the world around them for everything they're feeling. A depressed Alpha will appreciate the fact that they're not at their best, but also start examining their own lifestyle and the changes they can make in order to get out of that rut.

Everyone gets depressed at one point or another. There is nothing beta about it; however, I would suggest you that you should keep it to yourself, your parents and your thearpist (if you decide to see one)

No one else wants to hear about your problems or your depression (especially girls). Being strong in the face of adversity is alpha.

Not at all. It's perfectly normal to feel shitty or chronically depressed. It's actually necessary to initiate positive change and development in some stages of life. What separates the alpha and beta is how you respond to these emotions and what you do to change the situation. Are you going sit there and feel sorry for yourself or are you going to do something about it?

Not the depression but how you handle it. Faulter and loose faith and you will dig yourself a mental grave. Keep believing in yourself despite the overwhelming emotional crush and you will come through fine. But like everything this is easier said than done. Handling any mental issue, including depression, is an aquired skill. It takes time, effort and practice to get good at it.

What you feel has nothing to do with that. And you really shouldn't be sitting here thinking about every little thing and worrying about whether it makes you alpha or not. That in and of itself isn't a very alpha way to think of it. It's a challenge you need to face like any other.

You can't just "be an alpha" or "be a beta" just by the way you are acting at a given moment. Depression is an underlying psychological issue. The way that you choose to react to this "depression" and the steps you take to deal with it are where the alpha/beta dynamic comes into play. Real men don't dwell on the past and they use negative energy as fuel to achieve a positive outcome.

Most of this is engrained in us from an early age. Everyone has moments of depression, unless you are completely ice cold, in which you may have other issues to deal with. Sitting back and feeling sorry for yourself and using "depression" as an excuse is where the problem lies. Think about the soldiers who saw their best friends die on the battlefield with them; do you think they sat back and wept while getting shot at? Obviously not. Don't sit back and let life take shots at you. Do the shooting.
