That's not true. I lost 26 lbs in 6 weeks on Atkins without exercise. You just need to

A- Choose a diet that actually works (read: Low-carb)

B- Don't cheat

Diet is 70 percent, exercise is 30 percent. Do both for optimal health. These are lifestyle choices. Don’t do extremes and find what works for you.

- Eat healthy food, in small portions, so you get a Calorie deficit (you might want to track it as well). AVOID SUGAR.
- Make sure to drink enough water, and do so before meals to boost your metabolism.

- Get some exercise and get plenty of sleep. You don't have to exercise if you're just looking to cut, you just need to be in a calorie deficit.

I did this and it works. There's no secrets really. Don't know how these whales manage to stay so damn large.
