My last LTR was almost the same, except for me the kid was 24/7 with us, father legally incapacitated even for visitations.

I understand your position, it feels good. The great sex, the cuddles or whatever, the feeling, the routine.

But also:

-The kid is never going to stop seeing you as an outsider who he needs to get rid of.

-You are still on the Honeymoon phase, this won't always be like this and I think you can already see "previews" from time to time.

-As DangZagnut says, there is a background plan here... In my case there was a civil union looming around, no pressure at first, but at some point the discussion would slowly turn into an ultimatum, if I had been there long enough...

-Money: Step back and see how this benefits her moneywise. Even if it is not obvious, it is there. It could be future investing on you. How are the expenses now, do you contribute 50ish or are you taking any abuse in that sense?

-I hope you did not buy into the whole "abusive ex" crap... In my case I knew he was a druggie, but when I listened to the stories about "the good times" (before he became what he is today) I felt she started to gaslight him pretty good, and shame him for wanting to do usual stuff between couples. That was unsettling to hear, knowing that some day she would try that with me too.

-Don't you miss anything by yourself? Your bike, your guitar, your hanging out with buddies? In the end, this sub and those longings took me out, slapped some sense into me, and here I am, WANTING to spend New Years Eve by myself, not even friends or family this year. In this sense, look inside and see if you have a need to "belong" or "not be alone"
