I've come here after another bad experience trying to be a friend with a woman and realizing women are not capable of being friends with a man.

I've tried to convince myself otherwise in the past. I figured so long as I set healthy boundaries there wouldn't be a problem. We're not going to talk about sex, I'm not your orbiter, you're not going to come to me for money, or talk about things that should be between you and your boyfriend or husband. Rules like that.

Do they listen? No. They either try to get me to break those rules or pressure me into changing for them.

I am not a therapist, so don't come to me with your problems. I am not an emotional tampon, so don't gush about your feelings to me. I am not a buddy fucker, so don't tell me how terrible you think your man is right now. And I am not your affair partner, so miss me with that shit. I am a friend, PERIOD.

I had to dump another fake female friend last night who accused me of being insensitive because I wouldn't let her come to me complaining about her life. I told her I'm not her boyfriend so don't come to me with his responsibilities. So she listed all the times I offended her, like I actually cared, and tried to lable me the problem because I wasn't being the beta she wanted me to be. It felt good telling her off too.

I can listen, be sympathetic, and maybe let you come to me in your time of need if I like you, but I don't let women abuse that privilege. Not the women I want to fuck and not the women I don't. This one was acting like I owed it to her to listen to her complain about the most mundane shit. I'll be damned if I'm going to let a woman turn me into her simp like that.

Has anybody else had this experience?
