Thats completely wrong. They dont really know what they wont so there is no exact answer. Some go after ugly drug dealers just because they are attracted to the danger while others go for rich bachelors, while others like to let a hot but broke young guy live with her rent free. They are not all interested in the same things and the standards that they give are just a lie to make people believe that they actually have standards to seem more important than they really are, they are essentially playing hard to get because in reality, they dont have standards.

This isn't really correct, and I think understanding why is an important part of understanding women.

After women have children and get them mostly raised (usually in their 40s), they actually revert their standards back to their 20s. They don't lower their standards as logic would expect, they raise their standards... because they no longer have their biological clock driving them to be sensible in partner selection.

This is the source of all the divorces initiated by women in their late 30s and early 40s, usually 10-15 years after having kids.

The issue they have at 40+ isn't that they can't get a man... their are plenty of thirst motherfuckers out there that will put up with anything to have a wet hole. It's that they can't get the man *they want* to do anything but have casual sex, since they can't realistically compete with younger women for a high status man's commitment.

The distinction here is that a women who can't get a man she wants at 40 generally won't "settle" the way she did in her 30s. She'll just bitch and moan and be alone.
