In college, I dated a Mormon woman for a month or two. Our dating mostly consisted of us drinking and having lots of sex. She was absolutely the one on the gas pedal for initiating sex and also took lead on suggesting some of the more kinky things we did.
One night we were in her dorm bed trying to be quiet when I noticed her roommate was awake and watching us from her bed on the other side of the room. I quietly told my girlfriend that we were being observed and her response was "let her" before pulling the covers off to give her a better view.
Then she went home for a long weekend. When she came back she broke up with me because "You're a bad influence and make me sin." Eighteen-year-old me was really confused.

I honestly feel bad for her because of how much her religion was at odds with what are normal desires for any 18-year-old. She clearly enjoyed what we were doing, and it wasn't hurting anyone but she was convinced she would go to hell and didn't think she could withstand the temptation of staying together.

At the time I didn't feel sorry for her, because I was seeing it as her making an immature decision in order to please a god I didn't believe in.
In retrospect, she was a person with (mostly) normal sexual feelings who had been forced her entire teenage life to suppress those thoughts and hide them from everyone. Because if she was discovered she had been told that not only would she be abandoned by her friends and "punished" by her family but god himself would turn his back on her.
So she got to college and found people who not only weren't judging her for having sexual thoughts but where, in my case, very enthusiastic about them she felt really good for a while. Then she went back home and all the guilt and programming came flooding back.
Before she went home, she'd sometimes cry in the morning when we woke up because she felt so guilty about disappointing god. It was sad to see because I knew she was hurting over something that was completely foreign to me. I'd never been raised to believe that sex was bad or shameful, only that if I got a girl pregnant before marriage I'd be a dead man and STDs were for life. my sex talk was literally "Stay away from loose women."
So I feel bad for her now, because her upbringing made it so doing something she enjoyed, that didn't harm anyone caused her massive emotional pain in ways that I didn't understand at the time.

You know what it sounds like to me? Sounds like its better to keep them away from sex as long as you can and then to get them married.
That way they wont see sex as something casual and will actually have a sex drive

I hate to admit, this is exactly what happened to me during college. After about 4 months of being away, she confessed that she was cheating on me. That was the start of my long journey to taking the red pill, long before the term existed unfortunately.

This speaks the truth. Couple of girls I fooled around with early on in life did this same shit to guys they were already dating. I ended up finding out after the fact. If i'd known they were already with someone, i'd have told them to piss off. One was even a fellow service member and that made me feel like shit when I found out i'd been banging his girl.
