The bottom line is that most women can't secure an alpha-provider, so for these women fucking the alpha and having a beta as a provider is the ideal strategy for gene success - they get the strongest genes in their children while simultaneously having a man provide for them. Women have cheated on their men for as long as monogamy has existed.

What's different now is that the consequences for being a cheating whore are basically zero. Instead of being stoned to death, or being shunned by society, a cheating whore now gets child support and alimony, validation from instagram, and sex from tinder.

I've known women were shit people since my early teens, my mothers extended family were nice to me so long as I played along, once I got a mind of my own in my teens, they turned on me, calling me all types of horrible names and spreading lies about me. That's the time I realised that the bullshit you are fed about women was just that, they were disgusting, abusive and quite stupid creatures. I went into the dating world knowing this, probably why I rarely actually paid for everything on dates, always split the bill or made the date pay for the entertainment on the date ie; I'll get dinner, you get the movie or whatever we were doing. After getting monkey branched on a few times and dropping a girl because she was being a moron, I just quit the dating world. Since then I've actually turned down sex from multiple married women, fucking vile things, lost all respect for them and thus I am now MGTOW for life.

There have always been "confirmed bachelors." The acronym wasn't applied until early 2000's when the common sense based philosophy started to grow exponentially.

Given my age and personal experience, I'd blame no-fault divorces and the glorification of single mothers that came around in the 80's. Gen X was the first generation where divorced parents was normalized. Those who had vindictive mothers saw their fathers destroyed by the police and family courts. It doesn't take long to figure out that the best way to avoid divorce is to not get married.

For me... it was going from the ultimate chad. I had the status, the money, the looks, one of the most popular dudes in college. Got depressed, gained a hefty amount of weight. I kept my same personality of not giving a fuck. "Surprisingly", the way i acted before compared to now post weight was deemed rude and deemed an asshole. It was okay when i was skinny, but chunky me, how dare he.

Got a even more sad about the lack of poon i was recieving conpared to my past. I still fucked a good amount for a guy my heft, but that i feel was due to my personality.

Eventually found this sub and realized poon shouldnt ve my priority, and it should be me.

I definitely have a ways to go in obtaining my mgtow ideals.... but im taking the steps.

1919 women gained the right to vote (in America anyway). Took them decades to vote in enough toxic femininity but by the 60’s they had removed enough shame from premarital sex and divorce that marriage was no longer sacred. I would say the pioneers of MGTOW were swallowing their first red pills around this time. By the 80’s premarital sex was completely shameless and divorce not only became common but also financially rewarding for women. At this point the cat was out of the bag and MGTOW was inevitable but if I had to put a birthday on it... 1919.

I would say in America, post world war II, it all started downhill with globalism in the late 70's. Before then it used to be possible for single family income to comfortably support a family, so women had pretty sweet deal being a stay-at-home mom in return for being faithful. Of course AWALT some but not anywhere near today. The consolidation of wealth, de-industrialization, destruction of the middle class, 3rd wave feminism, and the flood of immigrants has created such an economic squeeze that everything has become about chasing money so the attraction to destroy the person you once "loved" for financial gain is just too motivating. Add in social media that has driven narcissism through the roof.

I'm reading 'Don Juan', an epic poem written by Lord Byron from the 1700s. In it he describes how women are feared when they are holding fans, as they can be used to beat their husbands, how his own mother tried to convince the authorities that his father was mentally 'inept' to have him locked away for life, how they filed for divorce despite no domestic violence from the husband, how after the father died the mother went on to have an affair with a married man, and that mans wife went on to have an affair with Don Juan.

No. Women were always like this, and frankly men weren't much better (if at all). Marriages made healthy societies so were insisted upon, but healthy societies don't make healthy people. Children who sleep don't want to sleep alone are diagnosed with 'attachment disorder', which makes no sense because why on earth, in nature, in the wild, would you leave your baby, toddler, or kid far away where you can't see them and they can't see you? that's how your kid gets eaten. Evolution says were all supposed to sleep in the same room in piles (or not even rooms at all).

Formally via the internet? I would say around 2013 but the roots were planted around 2007 which is when a lot of field reports about men’s experiences started making itself into forums and eventually YouTube. I remember reading bb.com relationships forums way back in 2007 as a 14 year old and I could see early PUA and redpill content there that I refused to believe. Growing up, seeing my mother divorce twice, and my father divorcing his next wife later on, made me question marriage to a high degree. I also have serious trust issues from my youth, and have never wanted to be in a relationship. I'm content to be a loner and MGTOW fits me quite well.
