It's not so much that *you* are getting older which causes them to force the issue. It's usually that *they* are the ones getting a bit older. 'Cause youth and beauty are depreciating assets.

I had a casual I dated, sister, say I was commitment-phobic for not committing to her.

She's of course, recently divorced, at her initiation.

Oh absolutely ... the thing to remember is most women who are old and single are ESPECIALLY broken . Most of them had somebody who did want a long term commitment and the woman fucked it up OR she is so undesirable in the short term that men run away before they can even get serious about her.

As far as the shaming , either they call you a " little boy" for not trying to wed their loser ass by the second date before their true colors show ( old women tend to be very bitter and not good at pretending to be nice for very long after the first date) OR they guilt trip you and complain about how Men don't take them seriously, they've been damaged and abused and they try to appeal to your inner white night .

Womens number one tool for getting in a relationship is their looks, so when those aren't working they default to shaming because weak men will cave .

Women shame / manipulate men into relationships and marriage because they know it benefits them and who wouldn't want a chance of a potential lottery win, like taking the mans home, half his pension, half his savings, his car and whatever other goodies that she is entitled to by law.

Marriage and long term relationships for men is holding a door open and inviting trouble in to your life, which if you think the gamble is worth it then so be it but at least hide assets and have your home and other stuff in another persons name.

Yes, they wait at the finish line for successful men. Believe me, once the money starts coming in, they start the shaming hard. Just tell them you're going to marry the girl who took a chance on you before there was even a hint you would be successful because you don't want to be used as an ATM. Chances are there is no such girl in your life unless you're 8/10+ in looks.

It happens to men of all attractiveness levels. Women date/fuck/marry men they're NOT sexually attracted to all the time, which is what's behind the sexless marriages, resentment, high demands (he has to "compensate"), cheating, etc. Why do they settle so much? Because many women value the benefits of commitment more than love or a good sex life, and once they finally realize the "Chads" won't commit to them, they'll prostitute themselves out to a plain looking dude under the pretense of "love".

Yes, shame and ridicule is a tactic used to get just about anything. And to control you, your behavior. It's highly manipulative but very effective on men.

Whenever someone is manipulative or straight up shaming, always push back and never give them what they want. Let it harden your resolve the more they do it. They need to know that that tactic will get them the exact opposite of what they want.

if you think about your conversations with others regarding marriage/relationships, you will find the only men who pushed you to have one are those in your family.

Women you dont even know will push you to have a relationship with a woman she doesnt even know.

Your married male friends will not tell you to have a committed relationship/get married. They may not tell you not to, but they wont tell you to do it.

I am what you'd consider an older guy, not by choice.

Women do use shaming tactics left and right, that's for sure.

And I have been asked/pressured into going from a FB/FWB arrangments to a committed relationship, but I have been there so many times that as soon as I hear those words I tune out and tend to end things as soon as possible with as little drama as possible.

Shaming tactics are toxic tactics characteristic of narcissist people, just say NO, don't engage, stand your grounds, and just walk away.

Or does it happen to almost all men, regardless of their looks or salary.
