And I've got to say, it surprised me the climax scene got the green light. I thought the film had good visuals and Joaquin really bought the character to life.

Really thinking if enough simps see this, a few might snap and wake up.

Arthur Fleck: ...a mentally ill loner with a society that abandons him and treats him like trash?

My take on this scene and the movie as a whole:

The director may or may not be trying to show us what is happening with men today. We are shunned and ignored and told we are bad. The majority of us who fall into the outcast list will live asleep and not bother anyone in this way. The few of us who end up having something really bad happen to us eventually just snap, like school shooters, which I know is a sensitive issue, but that's what I think is being alluded to here.

What do you get when you:

Remove fathers from the household, emasculate men, tell them they're sexual predators/ rapists, make them believe gender roles don't exist, raise boys by single mothers, unfairly divorce rape men in courts, ruin men's lives by believing all accusations w/o proof etc.

Feel free to add, but this is how I'm interpreting the film. I do not condone violence at all, I am just explaining how I've interpreted this.
