No shame in understanding when you're ill and getting treatment. Cancer is a horrible fucker and if he needed medication to help him be strong for someone who depended on him then I respect that. One of the few times I'll use the phrase "a real man..." is here: a real man knows what his limits are and he plans accordingly. Good on him for supporting his family when then needed him, good on him for now recognizing that he needs treatment, and good on his family for supporting him now.

Your title here is a bit too vague: it should be stated more clearly that the withdrawal is from clonazepam, an anti-anxiety medication with serious side effects and a protracted withdrawal period. The stuff is no joke, and getting off of it can be potentially life-threatening.

Please don't just say that he's in rehab, because when people hear 'rehab' they think booze or narcotics. FFS, the man's been pilloried by the public for years now, his livelihood's been threatened constantly, and his entire family's had profound health problems for years; I don't begrudge the man trying to take the edge off responsibly.

Yeah, the guy's a tradcon, and he's called us pathetic weasels in the past (which he's since apologized for), but please don't infer something that's not correct.

I wish him the best but I'm surprised that such a resolute man resorted to drugs to cope with stress. Now that I remember he also mentioned having problems with alcohol in the past so it must be his weakness.

People, if you are having a bad time in your life, there is no excuse to take drugs to feel better. Unless you're really about to die.

There is always another way out, reach to family, friends, eat well, exercise, use alternative therapies, research the subject, but don't take drugs. Once you get in, it's almost impossible go get out.
