It's cause the wall is closing in. They "found themselves" and realised that is now time to settle.

Also, women think that if they "travelled" they somehow made it in life. Like anyone can travel, it's not that hard.

It's something that I have seen too, a lot of women who moved to big cities like Berlin, London or Paris for studying have come back 10 years later, some giving up good jobs, the friends and the whole life they made there.

I think they realize that they're not so strong and independent after all and seeing their facebook contacts succeeding in life while all they have is the CC makes them realize that their lives are too shallow. That, or they just did it to make their cv make them look more interesting and competent than they really are ...
