It's been exactly 4 years and 2 days since I last saw my kid in person. Everytime I made arrangements for a trip or whatever, my ex pulled the rug out from under. And after years of hearing negative things about me from her mother. My kid is distant. It really sucks. I've said this before. I may not have been a great husband. But I was the best damn father.

I’m really sorry man. That really sucks. I don’t know what else to say that doesn’t sound trite or whatever, but I hope you are able to stay strong for yourself, and hopefully as your kid gets older he/she will start to develop more independence and see through some of the vitriolic BS from his/her mother. Eventually kids find their own voice and come around. Stay strong for yourself and know there are lots of good guys here and elsewhere that can offer support and can relate to the situation you are going through. Sadly it is not an uncommon situation for guys to go through these days at all. I sincerely wish you all the best.

Totally agree. Somebody said im weird for wanting a kid so much. Its not because im weird, but because i dont know if the baby of ex is mine or what. Terrible pain when you could not know if thats your child, and you could forever not seeing the child again.

They're not deadbeats, they're pure evil. Women who treat their children as possessions and deny them a father should be recognised for the abusers they are. The fact that society ignores, even encourages, this only devalues everything it claims to stand for. So many lives ruined.

Yup. Not only ruining the father financially(possibly) and mentally by denying them their kids. They also ruin the kids life. Kids from fatherless/single mother homes are more likely to go to prison, less likely to graduate high school and less likely to go to college(not that you need college anyway). But nobody cares or does anything and then when these kids shoot a bunch of people they blame guns and point fingers everywhere else except at the single mothers "raising" these kids. Face it. Men are worthless except for their tax dollars. Fathers are expendable with the state willing to give these whores your money. Meanwhile we applaud and celebrate women's worst behavior including single motherhood, cheating, infidelity, divorce, promiscuity and shaming men at every chance. The destruction of the west, or the end of the world, cant happen soon enough.

I haven't seen my son in over 2 years. He has autism, so it was decided that the "back and forth" of joint custody or even me taking him away from his "mother" every other weekend would be detrimental to his need for stability. But she gets her $1,100 a month in child support so what does it matter to that bitch how I feel, or how my son may feel but can't communicate.

The term "in the best interest of the child" is a very vague concept that often gets used as a weapon against loving dads.

Coming up on 5 years since I was allowed to speak to my daughter, much less see her in person. Everyone knows these kids are at a hugely inflated risk of arrest/prositution/pregnancy/drug abuse/etc with no dad in the picture, and everyone turns their back on it bcause a) moms enjoy protected class status and b) many of them personally benefit from the ongoing child abuse. All those hours of therapy, lawyers, constables, judges, baliffs, GALs, specialists and so forth add up, and lots of people in this industry have a vested financial interest in keeping the kids as a carrot on that pole for dad to chase while emptying his pockets.
They're all deadbeats. Everyone who sacrifices our kids to make a quick buck because they have no useful skills to contribute to this world. Shake off the parasites and live free, brothers.

The mother of my children went out of her way to alienate my children. Her reward is OPP for 45 years or so.. or unless she opts to check out sooner. In 2 months my youngest is 18. The gloves are off. No family court- just a huge Reality Check.

This also could work with "keeps spending the money on herself rather than the kid"
