Just like with clothing, it used to be that the people who made them made sure they were creating a quality product they were proud of so that the eventual owner would be satisfied with it for life. This took a lot of time and investment on the part of the creators (parents) and the product wouldn’t go on the shelves until it was ready (18-22) and passed QA (not a whore).

Nowadays they’re sent to the store at 15, get bought and returned after 3 months, tried on several if not dozens of times, bought and returned a few times more, and eventually placed in the clearance bin after being on the shelf for however many years.

And we all know, you don’t pay full price for something that’s on sale. Even when you’re paying clearance rack prices you’re still paying far more than what it’s really worth.

And if you don’t like what you bought? Fuck it, the clearance rack will be full again next week.
