I'm definitely more comfortable with myself then I used to be , when you live a life according to the views and desires of women it feels like you're constantly chasing a vision of yourself dictated by others. "IF YOU WANT A GOOD OWMAN YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS MUCH", " IF YOU WANT A GOOD OWMAN YOU NEED OT LOOK LIKE THIS !", "IF YOU WANT A GOOD WOMAN YOU NEED TO BE THIS SOCIABLE , THIS CHARISMATIC, AND THIS FUN TO BE AROUND" . The advice for men is never " Find a chick who digs and appreciates you for what you already do or even a woman who believes in you for what you can be ... it's " WOMEN ONLY DESERVE THE BEST MEN , SO BE THE BEST MAN WORTHY OF HER ATTENTION" .

Life got much simpler once I started to decide that really I am the most important judge , investor, and believer in my life and possibilities. Whether I'm on top of the world or the bottom of the world , I'll always be here for myself .

The biggest detriment ? It's hard to trust women and I take everything they say VERY seriously , my sister was a single mom who found a loving and good husband . I love my brother in law he really works hard for his family , cares for both his biological kids and my niece who came with my sister, he's everything that you could ask for as far as a good guy and my sister lucked out .... However she keeps saying that she " Settled " for my brother in law and every time she says that it pisses me off more and more. I love my sister dearly but what exactly did a struggling single mom SETTLE for in a man that supports and loves her and her children with all his heart ? It's idiotic and shows how even the women I respect and love msot are entitled beyond belief . My sis didn't settle she found the fucking lotto ticket of a man but she doesn't see it that way and if that's how my sister whose life and story I'm intimately aware of thinks I can only imagine what the rest of the female populace thinks . Yeah honestly listening to women talk pisses me off now, so much entitlement and such large disconnects from reality.....

Women don't appreciate men even when men save them from themselves.

It helped me find peace and make sense of things.

However, the truth has made me more empty and bitter. I always wanted to have a good relationship with a women when I was young (I was obsessed with romance). So to figure out it is all lie has made everything pointless to me.

Although that isn't a fault of mgtow itself.

Never was really into blue pill shit, never was “perfect wife” hunting as I never found the marriage lifestyle appealing.

MGTOW works fine for me. Wealthy, do whatever I want, travel. All working for me.

Negatives? I don’t get to fit in with the weirdos who are married. So I guess if I want some shitty strawberry almond wedding cake she would have wanted, I’ll have to buy my own.

So, you know, there’s no negatives to my life.

Better - More cash, more peace, more time, more focus, more drive.

Worse - Hard to take women at face value, whenever I hear something from any one of them. I'm always listening for the undertones of bullshit. Despite the fact that I actually know some good women. Also, far less patient and quick to snap and shut them down.

I have found the time fo work on myself without criticism. Before when I was with my baby-mama, she saw me working on myself as time away from her needs and desires (I.E. free attention). My schooling became negative and so did my ever increasing paycheck because I refused to give her anything more than what the bills amounted too.

The negative which is ultimately turning out to be a positive is that I am lonely but I am using that loneliness to forge a new me, a better me.

It opened my eyes to how damaging chasing women is to a man's own self-improvement. Not caring about what they want means I am always in control of myself and can always raise my hand to them if they try to steer me off my path to success. Before coming across MGTOW, I was a pet who'd drop everything I was doing for them but now I do not give a single shit. I've completely lost my passion to try and build anything meaningful with a woman because I've learned that feeling isn't mutual.

As for negatively, I suppose I spend a lot of time alone just doing what I have to for myself but that's the sacrifice we make for success.

It made me make more money by focusing more on work and not girls. It made me lose 40 lbs of fat by dieting and exercising. It made me be more conscious about wearing form-fitting clothe and new styles. It made me adopt a no fap movement (not for everyone) which personally is helping me soo far. It made me SIMP out less. It made me make myself WAY more attractive than I was/were with still a lot of room to grow. It's only been barely two years. Looking forward to the rest.

Good: It helped rationalize my choices for the last 25 years. After a divorce, I'd made critical decisions based on logic, instincts and experiences of myself and others. Before there was a name for it. So, I'm doing well on paper.

Bad: I have no physical human contact (other than hugging my mom 3-4 times per year). Wary and skeptical of interaction with females. Always seems to have strings attached. Also, the potential for career-ending harassment allegations. So, it's kind of lonely and unnatural. Other cultures around the world would consider this weird and crazy. But in North America, it's sadly justified after learning of the havoc and mayhem some women cause.

I like to understand things. Women were always a mystery. They no longer are. And it has revealed that i was wrong when all those times when i was single i had thoughts about how i was missing out. It has cleared the fog and turned my focus inward.

Financially secure No stress Freedom for travel and hobbies

The worst part is not having children, but this could be an option down the line obviously without marriage and not in this country

One more minor downside is I'm not as social, not as many parties etc as when I was in LTRs but still have my share and my close friends to spend time with
