Ah.. i miss the late night arguments and hearing the sound of ceramics hitting walls ... the sounds of my childhood.

I wish I had those skills in my first marriage 25 years ago. I had a keychain(heavy with alot of keys) thrown at me and one key embedded itself into my back as I turned to avoid it. Another time a bowl was thrown and smashed into my face gouging a piece of my cheek.

No to any violence on my part. I don't remember the resolution of those two incidents. There were so many arguments that after 3 decades it all blurs together. There was one time I did defend myself was when she attacked me and was choking/strangling me. I had to get her off of me(she was quite heavy at that time).

No I did not. At that time it never occurred to me. I was in my simp phase back then. Several months later the event occurred that ended our marriage. She was hitting her own daughter, had the girl trapped in a corner. I stopped her and told her we were done and the marriage was over. While I was at my car putting my cat into it to take to my parents for safety she locked me out of the house. I could hear her screaming and smashing my stuff with a sledge hammer. I called the Sheriff. They came out spoke and with her. They said I had to leave and come back in several days(it was my house). I had told them the cause was of her attacking her own daughter. I was told if they come back out someone was going to be arrested and it would be me.
