Look man I usually don't go in depth too much with this shit but here's what people need to realize

Funny thing about "true" alphas is, that they never boast about being alphas. They simply don't need to.

The reason why most guys want to be alphas, is because they seek to dissociate from their beta traits. After a while, the whole alpha-beta dichotomy crumbles, as you start integrating your beta traits, instead of resisting and trying to reject them; you come to an understanding with yourself that there's nothing wrong with being beta, that you've been there, and that you understand why other men are, or have been there too. There's no reason to fight it anymore. At that point, you drop your neurotic need to appear "alpha", as you realize that it's based on insecurity and fear. It's an approval-seeking game that's based on external/material things, like money, muscles, women, status, etc. Appearing or considering oneself alpha is an ego game, that equates - in the eyes of many men - to being loud, big and boastful. Being a narcissist, if you want to put it that way.

Once you grow older and truly discover yourself, there's no need to chase after those things anymore. You just don't care about appearing a certain way anymore.

The "true" alphas are the silent ones, that have opted out of those ego-games altogether. They're the discreet ones, who are secure within themselves. Silently confident. Unreactive. Unresponsive. Cool. Collected. Even-keeled. They're the ones you never see, and never hear. Not the big, loud ones, that try to make sure everybody notices how "alpha", and superior they are. That's insecurity, right there. Not confidence.

Having seen natural alphas turn into bitches, and natural betas develop a command presence, yes you can change. Just like work can outperform natural talent, and neglect can piss away massive advantages, even if you are a complete sperg and you lift for 3 years, read widely, and be really fucking good at something, you are guaranteed to be 80th percentile. Get some game and you will be 90th. Get independent money and game and you are 95th.
Self awareness and self consciousness are different things, probably even opposites or at least orthogonal.

You can find a list of people that actually achieved the exact opposite. I'll just leave 3 names here : Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Lee. Everyone told them they're not going to make it, and guess what, they did. Do you think these three behaved as you suggest?

Can't speak for everyone here, but this subreddit helped me understand some things : Keep fit, get your shit together, have a plan, have a plan B and don't try to control things that are outside of your control and many others. As with all things, I test what I read around here, if it works for me I keep doing it, if not I discard it.

My confusion is this: what are you actually asking?

The whole "true/false" alpha is presumably "did you have to learn it".

Everyone learns it. Noone is born at age 0 with perfect natural alpha qualities. Some people start off more naturally dominant and grow into the role when it works for them. They learn too.

If you start off the biggest and the cleverest, you'll fairly easily learn how to stay on top. If you're born at the bottom of the pile, you have a long way to go to get into the position where you can start to learn.

That's the difference between "natural" and "figured it all out" - how high did you start off.

Oh and I always claim no knowledge of this stuff too. "How do you DO that MattyAnon?" / "Fuck knows.... I turn up and this shit just works" / "What the fuck are you DOING exactly?" / "Oh, I just talk. Say dumb shit. Stuff happens".

And I can assure you that in my case it's ALL learned, and relatively recently too.

Instead of worrying about becoming an imaginary term that has no definition and lives in slang, just try to become 1% better each day at one thing. You're thinking too hard about abstract concepts instead of actionable steps.

Skip alpha. develop habits you want. Meditate one minute today, two tomorrow, three the next...

Do the same with push ups.
