I think it's the social stigma of prostitution which deters men. It's the image of the guy in their head, who goes to brothels and pay for sex. I am also from Germany and I talked about this topic with some of my simp friends. They are basically arguing that only certain types of guys pay for sex, it's pathetic, you should be able to have sex without having to pay blah blah etc.

Again it's the social blaming and shaming doctrines. I think sex dolls would allow guys to do it more discreetly and lift off the social pressure of the shoulders of men who would maybe ashamed of going to brothels because of their social conditioning. Look at Canada, where it's legal for a woman to prostitute herself but illegal for a man to solicit a prostitute. As long as men's sexuality keep getting vilified men will keep losing rights. Look at south Korea where porn is illegal, they have the highest suicide rates for men in the world.

You can make the case that sexdoll reduces rape, which they do just like porn and prostitution, except sexdolls take women out of the equation therefore reducing women's objectification.
