Word. Now that Altria and Boehner are in, it won't be too long before the values voters cave.
That said, it doesn't matter how legal it is if you can be penalized at work for having smoked in the last two months. Don't get me wrong: I wouldn't want forklift operators or truck drivers toking behind the wheel, but how sharp do we really need the workforce to be?

I really don't see a problem as long as it's not on- the-job. At home is a completely different story and you shouldn't be penalized for engaging in an activity that you deem fun or otherwise worthwhile that has no effect on the job itself. In fact, I'd argue that allowing weed to become federally legal would boost work ethic/performance because now people can relax without fear of being put on a burning cannabis cross.

I think this press to legalize pot, is just a way to normalize the dulling of our minds. De-criminalize it, sure, I don't see why people should be spending nights in jail for possession, though DUI laws are for safety so there's the drunk/high tank for yous.
Our diet high in carbs, things like pot, terrible education system, it's all pointing to a dull and stupid population.

Too bad it’s a gaseous fume that spreads, meaning I don’t have a choice when all the hippies in the park are wrecking the atmosphere of the place.
I used to live in OR. It was recently legalized for recreational use there. It got to the point where I couldn’t even walk in a freaking park without smelling that junk everywhere.
