In recent days i've realized that a large number of TRP/Seduction methods revolve around a single core, guiding, principal. This article is written to try to consolidate them into one simple mindset/core belief.
"As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few" - RSDmax
Part one: Defining the relevant methods.
“Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner.” ― Lao Tzu
There are a lot of inter-related platitudes and theories thrown around in seduction and TRP. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of them:
Self Amused / Amused Mastery
I Am The Prize
Frame, and Maintaining Frame
Abundance Mentality
“Rejection is better than regret” – Rollo Tomassi
Confidence
The definition of Power is not financial success, status or influence over others, but the degree to which we have control over our own lives. - Rollo Tomassi
Shotgun vs sniper mindset.
Outcome independence
There are also several inter-related sticking points that people have:
Part two: Understanding the underlying principles
All of these are central to, and spiral around, two core ideas:
1- Value of yourself (frame, self amused, confidence)
2- Not valuing the opinions of others. (Approach anxiety, shit testing, outcome independence)
Complete internalization if the following idea naturally leads to accomplishing each of the above items:
- While you want to learn how to interact with this world as successfully as possible, you are unapologetic asa to who you are and you are emotionally unaffected by peoples reactions to you.
But even this does not drive down to the core idea. To dig deeper
- I care only for myself. I am the most important person in the universe. I care only for own amusement, and no one else’s. My opinion of myself is the only one that matters.
Part three: Application of the above principle to previously mentioned methods.
It is easy to see how the adoption of the above principle plays into each listed method. I will go through a few of them here, but feel free to skip to Part four: How to practically adopt this mindset.
Self Amused: If you only care about yourself, then any amusement you do is automatically for yourself.
Frame: Again, if your frame is the only one you care to consider, then your frame always predominates.
"Rejection is better than regret": With this approach, rejection means nothing, because it has no affect on your core beliefs, or on your perception of self.
Shotgun vs Sniper Mindset: Instead of trying to pick out one specific person, you should feel free to express your personality at all times, leaving a wide net.
Approach Anxiety: Why would you have anxiety when you realize you are the only important person?
Final notes:
Accepting this mindset allows you to adopt many frame-defining features:
1) I am fearless of her response.
2) I am not afraid of losing her.
3) Rejection is better than Regret.
Part four: How to practically adopt this mindset
The most important part of TRP and seduction is actually turning beliefs into action: theoretical is good and all, but how do we truly encapsulate this belief?
The NPC mindset: The NPC mindset is a realization I had related to the above beliefs that are central to TRP and seduction. The central idea behind each of these beliefs is that you are invested in your own opinion, your own happiness, and your own experience, and no one else’s. I realized that this was very much an extension of my mindset when I use to play World Of Warcraft. Let’s say my quest is to get laid. If an NPC isn’t offering the reward I want for a quest (aka shitty item in WoW or not getting laid in real life), I simply wouldn’t interact with that NPC. Easy, simple, and I never thought about that NPC twice. I would never feel obligated to do an NPC a favor. I would only do it if I wanted to. I would never sit around and listen to an NPC talk about shit I didn’t care about.
I never cared about an NPCs opinion of me.
I never had approach anxiety with an NPC.
I never feared rejection from an NPC.
If you look at everybody as if they’re an NPC, then you lose all constraints and restrictions. You don’t give a shit what they think or how they feel. You act exactly how you want, and if they don’t have a quest for you, fuck em.
Now this isn’t to say that you can stop your self improvement. Every NPC has different requirements. Some NPCs you need high persuasion. Some NPCs you need to have certain combat skills/traits to complete their quests. BUT. If you fail any of these, you don’t care. I never cared in Skyrim. I never cared in WoW. Nor should I care IRL.
Simply make yourself believe that every single person in the word (besides yourself), is a hyper-realistic computer program. You don’t give a fuck what a computer program thinks of you, do you? Some computer programs/games you’re going to enjoy, some you aren’t. But you would never compromise what you like for a computer game, would you?
Sure, you need to learn how to convince NPCs to give it to you, but that’s no big deal. And you certainly don’t have approach anxiety or fear of rejection from a fucking NPC in a fucking video game do you? No. They’re all computer programs. You just have to figure out how to make them do what you want. You have to figure out the best way to accomplish a quest in a video game, but you don’t care what happens to any NPCs. You don’t care about the feelings of NPCs, or how the NPCs think about you.
Concluding thoughts:
The question is, how do you utilize this mindset without turning into a total sociopath. For some reason this feels like a theory a total neck-beard otaku would spout. None-the-less, it seems to work.
Now. This isn’t to say that you should abandon all self-improvement. The girls who love a cheeto’s stained basement dweller will surely come, RIGHT?!?!? Wrong. TRP is about becoming a better, more well rounded man. See my other post on building power, control, and dopamine. Gain full control of your potential, realize you are the only one you need to please, and you will fucking flourish.
Until next time. MAurelius.
