In grad school I took a summer job near a new city. Came to the city one Friday night and hung out at a quiet bar. I didn’t know where the party scene was. I’ll skip the details of that night but it’s worth it’s own story.

Anyways I’m 29 now. Just moved to that same city. I was walking by and stopped in that same bar. Life feels so different. Just watched a younger couple come in (Gen z age). Dude buys food and drinks. Goes the the bathroom and I watch this girl whip out her phone and go on Snapchat and answer snaps from 3 dudes by sending flirty selfies back. Gross. Have some respect for yourself. This society has changed so much in 7 years. I feel old and Kinda weird, but not too out of place. I don’t really know the point of this post just to reflect on how different things are now.
