It gets worse as you get older. Older single women become more desperate for a refuge. I recently went for a first date with a woman, she asked to kiss in the restaurant then asked to walk me back to my car. She had just taken £500k of her ex who had a very similar job profile to me. Of the money 350 on a fixer upper 100 on depo and 50k on a jaguar car. Talk about poor impulse control and terrible relationship management. You usually wait for a while to be sure that the other is "good" enough for it to happen (and then most importantly if it's supposed to be serious you try to avoid fucking it up in less than 6 months, too). This just screams "I'll just latch on any guy that I want I-MME-DIA-TLY and proceed to fuck things up in less than a year".

This is my plan too o_o finishing med school this year, i live with my parents, i could move out once i start working, but why would i, the rent would be 1/3 of what i would make the first years, plus we luckily get along just perfect. In time that money will build up and will allow me to invest into passives. Great job OP!

Had a few female colleagues of mine telling me that i should moveout and rent an apartment because it would be manly, it would make me more attractive. I asked them "what about the money?" and the answer was as stupid as them: "you'll never get a nice girl living with your parents!"...who tf cares!

I do this too. I have 2 jobs (fairly high profile in my city) and don't really need to dress up. I'm in shorts and heavy metal t-shirts, my Wrestlemania hoodie and jeans on the weekends. I live in my own loft apt downtown walking distance to every bar imaginable. Lots of extra spending cash. Also long hair.

But I think my overall childish appearance keeps the gold digging crazies away.

I do live with my parents, and I'm ok with it. They are too. But, they will be disappointed when I'm 40 and single, and still living with them.

But the fact is there is no good reason to move out, I won't be able to save enough for "retirement" as it is. And considering how toxic society, especially women are; I do not see a life ahead of where where I am not alone. I see no reason to get my own place (save for maybe a trailer home) when I have no one worth sharing it with. Thank fuck for cheap wine!

I've got things going for myself, but I hide my wealth. It's not my style to be flashy. I don't care what random strangers think of me, as it's only what I present to the public that they see. I dress in plain functional clothes and drive a 20+ year old economy shitbox that I maintain and repair myself. It's not very easy on the eyes, but it is reliable, fuel efficient, and best of all is an excellent gold digger repellent.
