So this has been thrown around a lot in the MGTOW community

Let's consider, women initiate divorces 80% of the time and men the rest 20% of the time.

Let there be 100 men and 100 women

Let's consider the extra-marital affairs in both of them

20 men cheat and 13 women cheat

https://ifstudies.org/blog/who-cheats-more-the-demographics-of-cheating-in-america

If we multiply these numbers by 4

For every 80 women who initiate divorces there should be 52 men who initiate divorces

So for the statistics to be 80:20

We need to have 208 women initiating divorces against 52.

Now let's consider domestic violence in a marriage

https://www.socialsolutions.com/blog/domestic-violence-statistics-2018/

25%(1in4) women are victims to domestic violence in a relationship and 14.2% (1in7) men have experienced domestic violence

Out of 100 men and women, 25 women and 14.2 men

Let's multiply these numbers by 4

100 women and 56.8 men (I am not going to consider men because I don't think men initiate divorce in case of domestic violence)

So that's 180 women to 52 men.

So if we divide 180/52= 3.46

And 80/20= 4

We have a difference of literally 0.54.

Is this about right? Or where have I gone wrong?

And if my math is right, there is nothing wrong in women initiating 80% of the divorces isn't it?
