Hey guys,

So its happened. Child support services has suspended my driver's license as well as my professional licenses. I am in a very large amount of arrears after being laid off of my job and after returning to school. $20k in fact. Thats a very negligent amount, but I didn't injure it out of not wanting to take care of my kids and not loving them.

From what I can gather, my license won't be released unless I pay back the entire 20k arrearage (which I definitely don't have) as well as the normal monthly amount. As much as I would like to pay, it is impossible for me to do so. I can't drive or work without my licenses obviously.

Ive been dealing with a lot including some mental health issues for the last few years so this just fills my plate completely. I really kinda feel this is it. Im so mentally exhausted and depressed. I'm definitely not going to be seeing my kids this christmas and I', just going to lurk face book and watch all of the holiday portraits of my ex with the kids and her husband that didn't work for six years, but gets all of the help and support in the world.

But yeah, I want to fix this but I really don't think I'll have the basics to just stay off the streets and hold a job.

Has anyone else dealt with a situation like this before, especially with the California child support agencies and courts?

Thanks.
