Men are the romantics because we believe in unconditional love whereas women are strictly hypergamous. As for why it’s beta, my guess is because it denies reality

Good questions. I think men are considered romantic because we generally initiative behavior, whereas women receive that behavior and respond to it. It’s the dude asking Rapunzel to let down her hair, not vice-versa. So when we initiate certain behaviors (buying flowers, fucking passionately, etc.) that is labeled as ‘romantic’ behavior. It’s kind of difficult to phrase, but I hope you get the idea.

The acts themselves aren’t considered beta, it’s the manner in which you do them. If you have a strong frame and buy a bitch flowers just cause you feel like it, you’re considered suave and charming. On the other hand, if you’re a weak male and buy her flowers so she will love you or out of some insecurity, it’s considered a beta act.

Being romantic is betq because women will see it as beta....it's just that simple.

Women are attracted to the men who want to.fuck.them in an alley and turned off by the guy who brings flowers roses and candy.

Men are the performers. Women are mere observers, whose emotions are the judge of your performance. This, in turn, is to dictate your fitness as a viable sperm bank for top quality offspring.

The real trick is to get so naturally/habitually into a good performance, especially for the other benefits it offers you, that you naturally have a pool of women you can tap into, which ironically you couldn’t care about because you’re so busy being a badass for yourself, that they are all competing for your attention amongst themselves, on top of your narcissism giving yourself attention. Then, and only then, can you pressure them into attempting to romance you. Granted it’s a woman doing it so she’s only going to half-ass it as well as a man could.
