It was a cold fall Arizona night as I looked over into the bright slate held in my friendenemies ex-girlfriend's hand. Curiosity(or alcohol) got the best of me and my eyes peaked at what her index finger was doing. Sure enough she was swiping(left) on the popular dating app Tinder. Most of these fellows looked normal - fine young men looking for a quick and easy way to find "love," but, I could see that was not her intention. At any sign of wealth she jumped on the opportunity to swipe right. I decided to announce to the rest of the people at dinner that she was swiping on Tinder. A friend of mine's girlfriend peaked up and set up shop on over her shoulder like a parrot. It was disgusting to see them swipe through the people - making fun of friends of mine for activities that they did or by the way they looked. She or her friend are not attractive by any means - but every time they swiped right within minutes they matched.
Disgusted I rode back home and grabbed an old phone that I had lying around.
It was time to see the other side of the coin.
I grabbed some pictures off of a girl-next-door porn star's twitter page, gave a simple bio and got to work.
The first shock that I had was the mass amount of men that were looking within 10 miles. When I had my Tinder I counted 15 or so women in my area. On the fake account there were well over 50.
I'd get around 1 match every 10 or so days with a 3 or a 4 - usually overweight. With the female account I got over 100 likes - in under 15 minutes.
As a woman Tinder turns into a slot machine - every right swipe was a match and every match a message. Every message was a phone number and every phone number was looking for a date.
This is when it hit me - women have changed. It's not the radical feminists, not the mob mentality, not the lack of women in my part of the country - and sure as hell isn't me.
It's the constant brigade of men that they have at their fingertips. It's like a microwave - in two minutes they can have whatever they want. If they want validation they have hundreds of likes and plenty of messages. If they want a hookup - no problem all they need is a time and a place. If they want to do a "relationship" and suck the emotion and money out of a guy - no problem.
And this doesn't just apply to Tinder - it applies to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
But more importantly it extends outside the phone into the real world. Put yourself in their shoes - they were a nobody in high school. Eighteenth birthday comes around and they decided to download Tinder. Like a switch they immediately feel wanted and craved by the opposite sex. Have this continue for a few weeks and it creeps into their life and they expect every man to cater to their every need and want. They know that no matter what - no matter who they date - in a matter of minutes they can have someone better.
This ordeal rang with me on a very personal note. I've been in one "relationship" - if you can call it that. We never kissed or had sex - the furthest I got was hand holding. At the time I was working as an engineer for what was turning into a successful tech startup. I was making hand over fist. I had my own house and I drove a Porsche to work every day - it was amazing.
Decided to take a break from the hectic work schedule and go back home to see my parents. Seeing my parents meant going back to church. I saw her again - tried to date her in high school but I thought that I got shot down. Approached her in my tailored suit and started to talk/flirt with her for a bit. I'll skip the details but I got her to break up with her boyfriend and date me for a while. I finally got everything I ever wanted - for about two weeks.
Two weeks later I got kicked out of the house I was renting from a friend. I'll skip the details but it involved the girls from the beginning of the story in a non sexual way.
So I was homeless and I'll tell you what - waking up in a Porsche isn't as fun as it sounds. She stuck with me though which helped.
About two weeks after being kicked out of the house I finally finished my large work project. In what I thought was going to be a congratulations from the CEO and a pay raise, I got called into the conference room to hear the words I would never forget - "Mr.Judbz you're no longer needed - grab your laptop and go home."
Shit.
First person I called was her and her first question was if my trip to come and see her was off. I had already paid for it so it was no.
The trip was alright I guess - waste of good oysters though.
About a week later I get this email from her with about a five page essay on how every guy that she's met had sexually assaulted her and how she didn't like sex.
This is what first made me loose faith in humanity but the real reason would come later.
After she ghosted me I fell into a large bought of depression and I won't get into the details but man did I fuck up school(thanks NyQuil addiction!)
So I go home for Christmas for some family "rehab" I guess you could call it. Again, curiosity got the best of me and I went on Tinder and you know who I found?
Two months after that she's banging some guy that looks like his favorite part of politics is taking it from behind for favors.
After going on Tinder with my experiment it all made sense - the letter, her leaving me, and her popping up on Tinder.
She knew she could find someone better so she broke it off with some fake #metoo claim
and she did
and so will every other girl
Thanks for reading
Stay strong gentlemen
TL;DR - Women get a lot more matches than you
