Its almost like a manager firing you: please come by the office, i have some news that needs to be shared in person. I changed my lifestyle to accommodate that of a girl that I was in a relationship with, sacrificed so much time/effort/emotional support, and in the end the same response: "You deserve someone better, I don't really feel 'wanted' in this relationship" Even though I sacrificed so much?? For a long time I felt like I was never good enough no matter what I did, and in her eyes that was probably true.

I am really, REALLY glad this "player" info wasn't around when I was younger. If it were, I would have known how to "game" them into loving me at least long enough into getting knocked up and trapping me. So I have made it to my late 30s without falling into the trap, because in my teens, 20s, I was "too nice". Thank God. What I thought was punishment at the time was an absolute blessing.
