In most districts, teaching is just make work for women and soyboys with liberal arts degrees, especially high schools. Outside of advanced placement classes and other college prep classes (wich are run by higher paid teachers with masters degrees) it's just teaching the kids to pass whatever aplicable standardized test and fucking off the rest of the time. Movie days and "independent work" days are more common than a regular day with a lecture or quiz.
