We don't talk about STDs enough on this forum. It is another good reason to go monk mode.

Let me explain: I am one of the mgtow who occasionally sleeps with women. No relationships ever, but frequent brief hookups. Like a kind of hobby.

Now one of the girls I slept with contacted me recently, telling me she just tested positively for something, and she could have gotten it from me. It took me over a week to get my own tests, and thank God all was fine. But I had a stressed week, reflecting. I asked myself, if HIV shows up, would all the hookups over the years have been worth it? The answer was a resounding no, and the prospect of never touching a woman again suddenly seemed all too reasonable, and having them all too silly.

I read a lot about STDs in that week. A few takeaways:

  • Some STDs are surprisingly widespread, despite being really dangerous, and some can be transmitted orally despite careful and correct use of condoms (look up Chlymidia). Many women on the carousell ruin their body permanently.

  • Also, I read an article that if a new superbug or supervirus comes out and develops resistance, chance that it is an STD is quite high.

  • So, if you are not having any action, don't be too hard on yourself. Remember that it is always a dangerous activity, that could go seriously, seriously wrong.
