My daughter’s fiancé name is Bran. Bran is a great guy; ivy league student, future engineer, kind, empathetic. He’s been dating my daughter Lucy for 3 years (They’re both 22). I came home early today to see two cars parked in the driveway. At first, I thought it was just one of her friends, but I opened the door to my house to sounds of the bed creaking. I got closer to the door to hearing the unmistakable sound of sex with a guy that was NOT Bran. I went downstairs to call him (we’re pretty close). I asked if they had an open relationship and he said no confusingly and asked why. I told him that I believe my daughter’s cheating on him, and that she’s upstairs with another guy having sex with him. He refused to believe me so I went upstairs and put the phone on speaker so he could listen for himself. He thanked me through tears and I wished him the best. My daughter is FURIOUS with me. She said I ruined her wedding and ruined her life, and that I can go fuck myself and mind my own business, and just in general screamed and cried and screamed again for 20 minutes. She called me a piece of shit and “not a real man” and that I can go fuck myself and that I’m a horrible excuse for a father. That set me off and I told her that she’s an adult, that she knows actions have consequences, and I wasn’t going to sit here and watch her ruin another guy because she wanted whore around, and she’s welcome to leave whenever she wants. I called my wife and told her about the situation and SHE WAS ON HER SIDE! She said it really wasn’t any of my business, and that family is family, and I should’ve pretended I saw nothing. I’m utterly in shock and quite frankly, disappointed that my wife is justifying cheating like this. We fought too, and I’m sleeping on the couch. I asked my parents and friends and they seemed to think I did the right thing, but I feel pretty fucking low for ripping my family apart. I’m starting to think I really should’ve kept my mouth shut. Was I the asshole for telling her fiancé? TL;DR – My daughter fucked some dude that wasn’t her fiancé and my wife and daughter said I should mind my own business. AITA?

When she came to know about how her husband reacted over his daughter's cheating, she saw the future. If somehow he comes to know about her cheating on him, he will react just like that. Hence she tried her best to defend her daughter.

But in reality, she was defending the situation. She tried her best to make sure to change her husband's mind, and still doing it, no doubt. He already lost his frame when he had to sleep on the couch (seriously, who does that? I'll kick that bitch out if I am her husband). Right now the first thing he needs to do is to get a paternity test (which is close to impossible since his daughter is a grown up now) and then he should inquire about his wife's past. There are more outliers to his wife's past than he knows.
