I was replenishing stock. The store was extremely busy, as it always is at weekends. An older woman, I'd say in her 50s, who is with who I assume is her husband and a friend makes an audible remark aimed at me about men being unable to multitask (bear in mind I only do this job to keep me out of trouble, but everyone in the place considers me an irreplaceable asset, including the regular customers).

I'm weary of women putting men down in general, so I responded "well, who built this store for you to buy these products, and who transported these products from the warehouse so you could buy them? In fact, which gender is putting these products on the shelf? Give men some credit."

She continues to loiter until her friend arrives and says "that man thinks men are better than women." I turned around and said "just remember who invented the mode of transport you used to get here to make these remarks." Her husband hesitantly laughed, and the young girl on my team said under her breath to me "she must be a feminist." And now I am on holiday for a week.

Gender "equality" is built on the backs of men, like everything else in civilisation. We're born male, and spend the rest of our lives paying for it. But we soldier on, because that's what we do.
