I never understood why in relationships it always seems like the women is in charge of finances. My female friends were always the most impulsive and irresponsible buyers. Paying full msrp for shitty new cars on a whim, always buying takeout because cooking meals wasn’t “living my best live” etc

My father let my mother have complete control over the family's finances (this includes doing HIS taxes as well). She was working as an accountant at a local business afterall.

5 years after having a custom built home built on a plot of land out in the country she became a "stay at home mom" and maxed out two of my dad's credit card without him ever knowing and some other shit too (I was really young I don't remember).

They split up and Dad went bankrupt.

Dad hooked up with a less attractive chick (but had her shit together more than Mom) years later, but ended up breaking up again due to fanancial issues.

Dad is now 50 and is unkowingly MGTOW.

Mother on the other hand dated 3 other guys, and has been living with the 3rd guy for the past couple of years (She was unable to afford rent so she decided to move in). She tells me how she hates it there and wants to secretly move states.

One parent decides to stay out of relationships to preserve income; the other decides to monkey branch relationships to preserve income.
