Last night at my new job (fancy Italian restaurant) as we were closing up, I was assigning closing duties and made the mistake of telling the other servers to divide them amongst themselves.

It is universally agreed that sweeping the entire restaurant is the worst because the main area is so large, although often times the sweeper is done before anyone else.

I have four very dedicated, hard working male servers. These guys are never bitching. They do what needs to be done. They stay off their phones and for being 18-21 year old good looking guys, they seem absolutely great and give me some hope for the Gen-Z, Late Millennial youth men. To be fair, I have two late twenties females that are also great workers.

Then I have 4 insta-thot type girls (18-20) that are constantly dodging duties, always going to the bathroom (probably to vape), are constantly chatting, and outearn my male servers in tips because of their attractiveness (even though my male servers are good looking themselves). It almost seems like mistakes benefit them more because the customers pity them when they drop food or forget to ring in an order or just straight up forget about them.

Anyway, when it comes to divvying up the duties I was so proud to see the male servers stand up to the thots when they said “No, we’ve swept the past X nights in a row”. After bitching and literal moaning we finally got two insta-thots to sweep the floor. Of course they rushed it. Of course they did a terrible job. I tell my boss that he should really consider getting rid of them because of their attitudes and he says he agrees with me but doesnt want the image of the restaurant to be a “male only” establishment.

Why do we even begin to indulge employing 18-26 year old girls in service jobs these days? No respect. All bitching.
