My opinion now is that if I align my value system such that I value who I become and what I do for the world over material conquests like possessions and number of women banged, this will lead to a much more meaningful life. I’m living this mildly successfully so far, im currently pursuing a couple hard goals and i guess I’m just having a hard day. I’m not focusing at all right now on pursuing women, which can be difficult for a 24 year old man. My thought on sex right now is that chasing it not for the purpose of starting a family and having offspring is a waste of time. Sometimes I worry when I hear guys like Bill Burr say “ya I did alright with women when i was young so im not a miserable prick”. I also heard sandman say if you don’t experience a lot of girls you’ll regret it when older. So far I have had sex with 3 girls, one in a long term relationship and two flings. I’ve had a lot of hook ups at clubs and parties when ai was in my late teens but I didnt convert a lot of those to sex because I was suffering from porn related erectile dysfunction. If it wasn’t for that I would have been with probably much more, as that really hurt my confidence and willingness to pursue women. I since fixed that issue, but after having a meaningless fling in the summer (the third girl i’ve been with) I found it a little gross, partially because she was a feminist and I just find the whole essence of a feminist disgusting. Clearly women are on my mind at the moment, but this is amplified by the fact that I’m stressed with my goal and 30 days clean from a huge marijuana obsession that plagued me the last 7 years. Do you think my mentality on sex was right and I’m just being weak in the moment? Or do you think I’m wrong about sex and if so, please tell me how your life is better with casual sex. Will I care on my deathbed about having chased women? Thank you.
