To be clear, what is one big difference between now and the 60s (when men were focusing on doing amazing shit)?
Pussy access.

It also build trust as men were not betraying each other left and right, with alpha males (Chads) not trying to hog sex all to themselves. Which allowed men to work together far easier and caused men to treat each other far better.
Now, sex is largely the only thing most men live for and are respected for. If a genius incel came out with a life changing invention, people would probably hate him and try to depower him because he is an incel (like false rape accusations).
