Life is generally what we make of it. Heaven and Hell are both on earth and purgatory is a state of being. Give in to lust and your life generally won't age well. Forego lust, work hard, plan, save, stay safe and your life will age well.

Basically don't let vices rule you. Kick the booze, the drugs, the alcohol, the sugar, the women and all the other toxic shit out of your life. If you can manage that for a month your perspective will change some.

If you're already older sitting in hell or purgatory then it's a bit harder to justify existence.

On the left is a successful man. Only he can feel the arrows; they are completely invisible to everyone else. Feminists think he stands without any arrows because of male privilege.

On the right is an unlucky woman. Everyone can see the single arrow in her back. Everyone feels sorry for her, revives her and makes sure she doesn't take any more arrows. She might become a feminist because the arrow is clearly due to male privilege.

Unsuccessful men look like the unlucky woman on the right, except nobody sees the arrow, and nobody helps them.
