I recommend Grubb's essay (26 pages, free pdf online), "Fate of Empires" - if you read it and think about "current events" and the last several decades, it seems what's happening is inevitable.

I really question the existend of a god as we were taught he was.

I KNOW there are "forces" at work and at play.

But the god thing is DEAD for me and HERE'S WHY.

1. He loves his children

COUNTER ARGUMENT

What creator CONSTRUCTS a TERRIBLE PLACE FULL OF EVIL ASS PEOPLE TO SHOW HIS LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN? No parent I ever met. Conclusion: This World was build STRICTLY TO PROMOTE SUFFERING. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS SUFFERING.

2. THE BULLSHIT "FREE-WILL" ARGUMENT. Evil and Good exist because god gave every being "free will", and thus...blah.blah.blah...Sparkles...rainbows...good times...bad times..ups..downs..good people..bad..people..etc - BULLSHIT!

COUNTERPOINT.

IF GOD IS OMNIPOTENT, he knows all, sees all. If he knows whats going to happen TO ME tomorrow and the REST OF MY LIFE, Do I really have to live it? IS IT FREE WILL IF HE ALREADY KNOWS WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN? But WAIT. I change my mind about something and do something EVIL. GUESS WHAT!? HE "KNEW" THAT TOO! RIGHT?

So IF he knows every possible outcome AND everything I AM GONG TO DO, IS IT FREE WILL? CAUSE HE ALREADY KNOWS.

How is this life ANY kind of test of "Free Will" IF he knows what I am going to do in EVERY SITUATION WITH MY FREE WILL?

THA MUTHAFUCKIN KICK ASS CONCLUSION:

IF he knows, what EVERYONE is going to do, THEN he knows all this evil shit is about to happen to good people, because he CHOSE IT TO.

Because he made a bunch of EVIL SHIT SO IT COULD HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE.

Because he knows WHO IS GOING TO DO EVIL, but Claims to love us, (and this leads back to my first point) BUT PUTS HIS CHILDREN IN A SUFFERING EVIL HELL ANYWAY, EVEN THOUGH HE KNOWS WE WILL SUFFER. (and Don't say "free will", because he KNOWS WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO).

So by all the above "LOGIC", Is any of this existence REALLY NECESSARY?

ITS only necessary if SOMEBODY'S LYING AND THEY WANT YOU TO ENDURE A LOT OF SUFFERING FOR SOME REASON!

Most people have problems, at one time or another, both men AND women. People may have very different sets of problems from each other, but most people will have significant problems, at one time or another.

The challenges that you have in life are what make you wiser and better. Of course it's no fun going though a bad problem at the time, but it usually makes you a better person -- even if it only teaches you something. And some problems we never can fully fix, but we just have to live with them as best as we can. Still, you tend to learn from those problems too.

It's easy to wish that one could be in the shoes of someone with an easy life, a lucky person. Of course, I do think there are such people, who, even on average, seem to escape any really bad experiences beyond the minimum. Have you ever observed and talked to such people? Some are nice, and some are not so nice. But often they do seem to be missing something -- They tend not to seem like they've been tested much, like they ever had to really push themselves or they were going to fail in a big way. Some of them seem to be unable to sympathize with people who are suffering. Some of them, you just can't picture that they ever had to take a long, sad, lonely walk by themselves one day, because their car broke down, or they didn't have a car -- that they never had to experience doing that when they were already having a bad day, and they had to walk along for a while, alone with their sad thoughts. That may sound like a horrible experience, but that is also called living life. Think of a really good song, one where the lyrics make you feel some emotions. Do you think that whoever could write such a song, could do so without having lived a life with a full range of both good and bad times?

If there were no challenges in life, how much less meaning would it have? Even as technology makes life easier in some ways, yet it also creates new problems. It does seem like problems and challenges are core elements of life.

Geez Louise, guys. It's right there in Genesis (the first book of the Bible)...Eve (the first woman) pulls Adam (the first man) down. I know all you folks think that it's a fairy tale (and I agree it's not a factual account), however, try using your higher order of thinking and see it as a cautionary tale about following the lead of women.
