Another interesting figure from the chart: From the first class passengers, only 3% of female lives were lost. From the women in the third class, in contrast, 54% were lost.
But even among the first class, 67% of male lives were lost.
That's right. A third class female passenger's life was worth more than a male first class passenger's life.
I guess it's the patriarchy's fault too. The chauvinistic men died in order to assert their dominance over the women. As if women cannot take care of themselves, pfah! Tbh their descendants should be found and shamed for this age-old act of toxic masculinity. /s
