Man I’ve been feeling this recently. My sister, my female cousins etc have had anxiety and always get messages of support from family and friends and are held up as strong women. I’ve struggled with ocd and bipolar since I was a kid and I don’t feel much support outside of my parents and brother. I almost feel forgotten by so many people. I don’t want to burden anyone but sometimes just a hand reaching out for support would be nice but it’s so much harder for guys. I now understand why so many men commit suicide since I’ve been to that point multiple times. They feel helpless and alone and there’s no support for them. I have felt a sense of relief at least from not focusing and stressing on some areas of my life, like relationships with women, and have instead focused on my well being and good friendships that don’t carry nearly as much stress as a romantic relationship

Yeah and then that depression either results in suicide or changes you into a bitter asshole that no one likes. If the latter, you're shunned by the world around you. So you keep to yourself. Closed off from the outside world. Tricking yourself into believing that you don't need anyone else. Probably the most unhealthy state of being that you could possibly be in. Pretty much the story of my life....but alas, no one gives a shit about that either.
