Next weekend I will be a groomsmen at a friends wedding. I was a bit surprised and at the same time not surprised he asked me to be a groomsmen. We hardly talk, a couple times a year, live in differnent cities, not far apart, just 1 hour, but we've grown apart over the years. I honestly would have been totally okay with not being invited to the wedding at all let alone as a groomsmen.

I'm sure many would say don't let him get married, but he's no where close to swallowing the redpill, hasn't asked for any advice, very beta, etc. She's about 31 years old, he's 29. They decided to get married sooner, since her mother has cancer(I'm not sure what stage or what type but it is unfortunate anyone is in bad health). She wants her mother to attend the wedding. About 1-2 years ago, she actually messaged me, asking me to talk to him, be there for him, she explained she had broken up with him essentially due to his lack of confidence. About 6 months later they were back together officially....likely she hadn't found anyone new that was better. I'm sure there was communication during that 6 months. This friend has always been concerned with others liking him, seeking others' approval, sweet talking etc, a gentleman with women....too fucking much. Really the most interesting part for me is being able to observe and see so many things we talk about here /r/mgtow . I'm bringing a date with me, she herself met the couple not long ago, and pointed out how the bride is the controlling one in the relationship. Really I was wondering if going to this wedding I could share any insight and experience with the mgtow community. I would be happy to post again after the wedding if anyone is interested.

EDIT: I didn't attend his bachelor party, I had let him know months in advance I may not be able to, due to my own scheduled events falling around the same time.
