my stem field fired the male professor that controlled how things ran and worked with companys like cisco, red hat, and D.O.D, and hired a bunch of female professors.... It has gone to shit, I am currently talking to the head of the department in a way to finish as fast as possible or go another route. but I may have to cut my losses and leave or take and additional 8 classes just to get my A.S

A bit outdated

Nowadays, we are in the next stage, where Stem Fields are getting corrupted and gradually becoming more and more similar to "gender studies" and similar crap

It's needlessly to say that, with the corruption, the pristine quality that once marked STEM fields has plummeted

To be fair, this is slowly going the other way. I remember in my first year of uni doing a biomed undergrad, we has to take a "diversity workshop" where we just got talked at about the disparity of demographics in science, that STEM fields are usually male-dominated.
We had a class of 36. There were 6 men present. I was one of them. Didn't actually notice until the teacher pointed it out; I was quite surprised I hadn't clocked it. Made the whole talk seem like a total joke, which is sad because they were clearly trying to do some good.

In the name of equality, we should force 50% of all women in gender studies into stem...that's fair isnt it?

I'm a woman currently studying sciences (first year), and while I get that a lot of STEM feilds are mostly men (like engineering), the vast majority of classes I'm in are 50/50. The younger génération is way more balanced in terms of STEM feilds, so anyone complaining that "women aren't in STEM" are just ignoring the younger génération lol.

What seems more functional to me, is women in gender studies fighting for 50/50 in gender studies degrees. Men are woefully underrepresented in that, so that seems like a better focus.
