So how long has it been since someone invited you out without prompting, to do something that wasn't a party? How long has it been since someone done something significantly selfless for you? What sort of people do you surround yourself with?
These are all questions a TRP man should ask himself at least once after swallowing the pill.
I've been on bottom of the spectrum. Years ago in the middle of monk mode with no social contact besides people in my course during the week. Spending all my time in isolation studying, reading, playing guitar, lifting, cooking, etc. I did enjoy aspects of monk mode but started lacking motivation. I went out grad night and got wasted with some other guys on the course. Talked to heaps of girls and hooked up with one. The days after I was full of vigor and motivation. I smashed PR's in the gym and went out again.
I found my life was lacking a significant aspect of human existence. Socialization. Without it we become depressed and unmotivated. This is tied to our ancestor's need to work together to survive. Being rejected or ignored from groups stimulates a pro-inflammatory response in our brains to heal injuries our ancestors would have recieved from being cast out. This outdated model that is now unnecessary creates more problems then it's worth.
In the last 30 years or so, society has become increasingly obsessed with status; establishing themselves higher and higher in the social heirarchy. We all know the cause of this: Social media, selfies, blah blah blah.
Consequently, with the increasing appetite of status; depression and dissatisfaction with one's self are also increasing.
Why? And where does that put the TRP man?
It's because being popular or high-status doesn't reflect the sense of community that being likeable or a contributing member of a team can bring. Real mateship.
I'm here to remind you not to lose sight of a very important aspect of self-improvement.
Don't chase status.
Instead, become likeable.
Invest your time into relationships.
This advice ties into advice seen on here a lot to cut out social media. It really is toxic.
Don't confuse this for me saying don't try and succeed. Just don't become an arrogant douche on your journey to the top.
TRP attracts a range of men with varying attitudes towards how they attack their lives. Some of those men have an attitude of fucking everyone else over to get that promotion, manipulating, or talking down to others to establish dominance.
This can definitely get you places, but everyone will resent you. Socialising becomes difficult and everything becomes a power play. Not ideal, especially for your mental health. Unless you're a sociopath, then feel free to go full dark triad.
Dominance has it's time and place. Don't let people shit all over you. Frame is important all the fucking time. Not just with women. If you sense someone trying to force you into their frame, into their world, calmly put them in their place.
A good example of this is the military. There are an official heirarchy. Talking down to a rank above is a serious offence. Yet it happens all the time. Why?
Humans don't give a shit about a rank. They give a shit about the societal heirarchy. The guys that get more done, are pleasant to be around, and demand respect with their presence and frame are the trifecta of likeability. The guys that are likeable can tell a senior rank (that is an asshole to everyone) to go fuck himself and people will look the other way.
I'm sort of just typing this off the top of my head into my phone so I may have rambled. To conclude:
Invest your time into forming relationships with other people and being a likeable guy, instead of garnering status (money, popularity). It will be a much wiser investment that will benefit you in untold ways.
