I actually don’t have much of a problem with the initial statement. I think what she’s trying to say is that she mentally checks out before the relationship is officially over. We all do that.

I do have an issue with the third comment. Fuck that person. If you always have a plan B, when the going gets tough (as it always does) you’re just going to say fuck it, I know I can get someone else.

Karma will catch up, however, because the “grass is greener” phenomenon is a trick. It’s greener until you get to the point where you have bills, etc. Then it’s just the exact same thing.
