Once upon a time, Tinder was great. You could go on, swipe a few faces, and find a girl who actually wanted to hang out.

Now that it has been out for a few years, the majority of the flock has migrated on to the app, where they realized that they could use it for a variety of reasons, with the very last one being that they actually want to hang out with you.

I'm sure anyone who has used it in the last 2 or so years has noticed this too. Unless you look like a model, which most of us admittedly do not, it is next to impossible currently to find a date or more from Tinder. Most girls that are on the app now are there only to swipe as many 'hot' guys as they can, just so they can show their friends how many matches they got like its a competition, or hell even just to "remind" themselves that guys want them. Their personality is shit and boring so they need the reaffirmation that they at the least look well enough to get matches on a dating app. These tools are the reason that most girls on Tinder will never even respond to a message and why you end up wasting your time more often than not on the app. This isn't just an assumption - I've even heard girls in real life talking to each other about how they actually do this. We'll call them the 'match collectors'.

Then there's the kicker - if you go to a friend, or online, or here to reddit, and ask, "Why do my matches not ever answer me?" They will reply telling you its because your message was boring or unoriginal. Here's the thing; I've tried every line in the book and guess what - if they aren't going to answer, they aren't going to answer. No matter how original, clever, or funny your message was.

This isn't to say that every single one isn't going to answer. Of course there are ones that will. The biggest things to watch out in watching whether a girl is going to be a waste-of-time non-answerer are:

  1. Has multiple bikini/lingerie pics, pics with their ass or tits practically out, etc. These are the attention whores that collect matches and will never answer you no matter what you say or at most will give you one word answers then stop replying.

  2. Asks for venmo or other cash app donation. Report and unmatch that bitch ASAP. Just read the Tinder sub on reddit. If you're the poor chump that donates to one of these brats for whatever reason, they will unmatch you immediately after you do it. That's the 'surprise' part of their "Venmo me for a surprise! ;*" line of their bio. They are scum.

  3. Girls with hypocritical bitchy bios. For example, "Guys suck! All they want is sex! But if you're one of the good ones, make sure you're over 8 feet tall and make a million a month or you don't have a chance!" Report, unmatch, repeat. Or if you're like me, report, call them a bitch, then as soon as they message back so you know they saw it, unmatch.

  4. Girls harping their Instagram. All they want is the followers. They don't want you, only the satisfaction they get from being able to say they have a billion Instagram followers gawking at their 1000 bikini pics. Which leads me to my leading argument to feminists who say men have the advantage in the world - bitch I'll agree with you when I can make multi-millions just by garnering a a couple million Instagram followers just by posting pictures of my tits multiple times a day.

Like I said, not all Tinder girls are like this. But stereotypes exist for a reason. Tinder and its multitudes of goons are the embodiment of how social media fucks with our everyday lives. Its a fun way to pass time while you're taking a shit, but other than that, don't feed in to the cancer. Fuck Tinder and all the types of Tinder girl described above.
