I saw a recent video on YouTube about student debt. It was mostly women complaining about owing insane amounts of money, some +$40k after one semester. One in particular owed that much after being in school for a few weeks and then dropping out. Another said that her minimum monthly payment was $1,000. All seemed surprised that they were expected to pay it back.

I've yet to meet a woman that wasn't in debt. They can't help it. It's spend spend spend.

I'm allergic to debt, and won't go into it, if I need something, I'll do without something else. It's really simple.

They're in debt because they lack the skills or education or ability to follow a budget unless the credit card stops working.

Parents help daughters less

That's bullshit.

My parents couldn't afford to put braces on both me and my sister, so my sister got them. I am just now getting braces 10 years later, and I am paying for them.

My parents couldn't afford to put my two siblings and I through college so my sister got helped out and I took on student loan debt to get through, I joined the military after for a student loan repayment bonus. My brother joined the military at 18 and will probably use the GI bill to get through college.

When my sister got injured my parents gave her 1k and I gave her 1k to pay for medical bills. When I got injured, I was lucky that I got injured on base so the army covered it.

I don't resent my parents or my sister but in my experience and from what I see and hear from friends and family Daughters get more (much more) help than sons.
