I recently went on a vacation by myself and it was glorious. If I was hungry, I ate, if I was tired, I slept. I woke up every morning and just did whatever the fuck I wanted. And I didnt hear a single complaint. Best trip I've ever had and I highly recommend.

You never really know someone unless you live with them or take them on vacation. Complete eye opener. From my experience, would have been better to just travel alone. Less stressful and save alot of $.

I took my ex to a football game with two of my little brothers. Almost as soon as we got there she was asking me when we could leave. Because of this, my youngest little brother started asking me when we could leave.

have gone on many vacations with wamen....they tend to do the same things they do at home. ask any wamen what they did on their vacations and you'hear " it was great! chilled on the beach! went for great dinners! watched the sun set etc etc...things they did at home. what i want to do? deep sea fishing, zip lining, jungle tours, Aztec pyramid climbing ...things i CANT do at home!

If you want to fuck up your vacation bring a female. They are miserable travelers, very needy, refuse to contribute on road trips, and will have an emotional bitchy episode for no fucking reason. They never drive and exponentially increase the cost of the trip.

Myself, my friend and his girlfriend came back from Detroit/Windsor 12 hours home. She was a total bitch all the way back. Why? No reason at all. I stopped the car in Saint Louis while my friend went inside to the gas station and sternly told her “I am not your fucking boyfriend or husband so I don’t have to listen to your stupid shit. I will leave you wherever we are if you say one more word.”

She kept quiet.

I was 25 and went on my very first cruise and my first time outside of the states with two of my sisters , my sisters friend , and that friends aunt . To describe that trip in one phrase ? Shit show .

Younger sister was broke , didn't save up money ( though we'd already paid for the cruise) and chose to mope the entire time we were on the ship . The older one bitched at the younger one for not being more fun and because she never gets out and doesn't do well alone I had to be her babysitter/ entertainer. The two of them bickered and complained the whole time and then when I had a few drinks and had the nerve to tell them to stop being insufferable they wanted to call me the town drunk ( despite me being quite sober just very irritated in that moment) .

The other two I didn't care for but of course when we are pressed for time between as we arrive back to land and our plane is set to leave in a few hours they decide to go shopping ...but not somewhere special .. they basically choose to shop out of a Ross in another state and then of course we end up rushing back to the plane .

Overall I had a good time on the ship ( because I chose to just go lone wolf when I was fed up with any of them) but they were the worst part of that 4 day cruise .

A year and a half later I decided to do a cruise to mexico by myself and didn't tell anyone ( of course my mom chose to mention it while one of my sisters who went was there a week before I left) . That second cruise was fantastic. I drank as much as I wanted without judgement . I flirted , I danced, I did what I wanted when I wanted. There were no stupid votes on what we should do today , and I didn't have to meet or associate with anyone I didn't want to . I did befriend a couple who went on the same Tequila tour as I did . the poor husband looked like his wife was getting on his nerves the whole time he was a younger Islander looking dude with a chubby mexican girl but it was clear she as the bread winner .

I had a blast cruising solo , I felt like I had to escape the women around me to have fun when I cruised with others . So fuck yes I agree going on vacation with women is a pain in the ass.

Steady stream of complaints, emotional melt downs, barely contribute whether $ or convo, and want to do boring shit like shop. Check, check, check and check. Why? I just don't get it. They don't want to help plan or even drive

but seem to hate the lack of control and want to spoil all your hard work by pulling it apart. Traveling alone is fun,

should be even better with more. Remember going on surf trips with friends and it was almost all fun all the time.

Women view holidays like they view weddings. It's 'their special day'. They expect it to be all about them. Which is fine, it can be all about them, just under their own steam. But if you're going on holiday with one, she's already shifted the responsibility to you - it's your job to make her shit happen.

It doesn't matter than you were the one busting your hump to get the coin and time together. Empathy is for themselves, not others. Your holiday comes when you leave them.

And this is why this is one of the better subs on reddit. It's populated by guys on permanent holiday.

This is for sure.

Because the woman represents yet another responsibility, and not just in the financial sense.

Any vacation that needs to be balanced out by responsibility just isn't as fun.

I'd say the ranking goes like this:

Vacation with bro(s) > Solo > With a woman
